Because Book Chain relies on other members to post you your books we can't guarantee when a book will arrive. When a book is posted to you we'll send you an email to let you know it's on its way.

Unfortunately books sometimes get lost in the post - see the next question.

Books that are on their way to you can be managed in the "Recently Sent" section of My Account. If it's been a couple of weeks and you haven't received a book the first thing we'll do is send a reminder - maybe the sender forgot to post it or there's been some delay. Just click "Send Reminder" and hopefully the sender will leave a message on your page to let you know when to expect your book.

If that doesn't do the trick under "Recently Sent" you can click "Give up Waiting" - this cancels the order, refunds your account and sends an email to the sender to let them know. We'll also re-add it to your wanted list so hopefully someone else can send it to you.

Bear in mind that second hand books can often be tired and rough around the edges. But if a book you've received is unreadable or simply isn't what you ordered send us an email help@bookchain.co.uk and we'll give you a full refund.

We want you to be completely happy with your order on Book Chain so we offer a no quibble refund policy. If you're not happy for any reason let us know.

If someone has asked for a book you own its entirely up to you whether you send it to them or not. For example, if you've sent lots of books already or you're still reading it you can hold onto it for as long as you like.

The only thing we ask is that if you don't intend to send a book to someone you remove it from your library so others know the book is no longer available.
